The business climate in Boden municipality is further strengthened, new measurements show

Following the top listing in SKR’s (Sweden’s municipalities and regions) business climate ranking in April, the first part of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise’s annual survey is now published. And the pattern is clear, the business climate in Boden municipality is also climbing there to a new peak.

It is through the business community’s own national interest organization that the image of Boden as a good municipality for entrepreneurship is strengthened. For a series of years, the municipality of Boden has worked strategically to strengthen and develop long-term cooperation with Boden’s entrepreneurs and the local business community. It has also yielded results and Boden is now in the lead of Norrbotten’s 14 municipalities, closely followed by Arjeplog and Älvsbyn.

Every year, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise measures more than 30,000 companies’ experiences of running companies in their municipalities. The answers from the survey provide a picture of how the business climate is perceived by companies. The answers are then added together with five statistical factors into a ranking that makes it possible to compare Sweden’s 290 municipalities. The final ranking will be presented later this autumn.

– This strengthens the image and the trend we have seen in Boden. We have succeeded in creating a very rewarding climate of cooperation with our entrepreneurs and our local business community. It also strengthens the attractiveness of new establishments, which feels really good and now we will continue the journey of improving Boden’s business climate even more, says Claes Nordmark, mayor.

– That during the ongoing pandemic we still manage to strengthen our trust with our entrepreneurs feels honoring. Boden is on its way into a historic industrial transformation and development where our good relationship with our local business community will be a success factor. That is why this feels extra important, says Mats Berg, head of the local government and business development.
