It is the business community’s own national interest organization, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, which has conducted a large survey among entrepreneurs in the country, about how they experience the business climate in the municipality.
For the second year in a row, Boden receives the highest rating of the 14 municipalities in the county and the answers strengthen the image of Boden as a company-friendly municipality. Recently, Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions also presented their survey of how satisfied entrepreneurs are with the municipalities’ service in the exercise of authority, and Boden received the best grades in the whole country.
The results do not come unexpectedly as Boden has chosen a strategic focus to strengthen and develop cooperation with entrepreneurs and the local business community in the long term.
Since 2012, the rating has steadily improved. From 2.5 to 4.1. Boden is the only municipality in Norrbotten that passes 4.0 in overall rating and now the ambition is to take the step into the top 50 list in Sweden.
Arjeplog and Älvsbyn are the municipalities in the county that are closest to Boden with a rating of 3.7 and 3.4, respectively.
– It is a hard and consistent job that makes us move our positions forward. Close and daily contacts with our entrepreneurs mean that we can constantly capture areas for improvement and avoid misunderstandings. Now that the pressure is increasing, it is extra important that we have our local business community with us in order to maximize the effects of the social change we are in.
Every year, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise measures more than 30,000 companies’ experiences of running companies in their municipalities. The answers from the survey provide a picture of how the business climate is perceived by companies. The answers are then added together with five statistical factors into a ranking that makes it possible to compare Sweden’s 290 municipalities. The final ranking will be presented later this autumn .
