Boden is one of 28 locations and the only location in Norrbotten to have a new Government Service Office. On Wednesday’s press conference from the Government Offices, the news of the establishment was announced, which will give the people of Bodens a better government presence and service.
The service offices and their administrators must offer unique competence and guidance to both private individuals and companies in government e-services. The government service offices had just over 2.4 million visitors by 2020, a number that would probably have been even higher if it were not for the pandemic.
The exact time for the physical establishment, including in Boden, will be presented no later than September with a prepared schedule for the expansion / establishment of the new offices. The other new offices will be in Askersund, Borgholm, Eskilstuna, Filipstad, Finspång, Helsingborg, Jönköping, Laholm, Linköping, Lysekil, Nordmaling, Norrköping, Nynäshamn, Stenungsund, Södertälje, Sölvesborg, Tingsryd, Uppsala, Växjö, Ånge, Åre and Östhammar.
The ambition on the part of the state is that at least half of the offices will be able to open in the spring of 2022 and the rest gradually. It is the Government Service Center that has the government’s task of establishing a Service Office in Sweden’s municipalities. Expanding more service offices is part of the January agreement, which is a matter-of-fact agreement between the government parties, Centerpartiet and Liberalerna
– Finally, the government and the co-operation parties have decided that Boden will have a new government service office. Another positive piece of the puzzle falls into place in the construction of the future Boden when we get an increased government agency service in place here in the municipality, says Claes Nordmark, mayor (S).
In 2021, a total of 120 service offices will be established throughout the country. The service offices collaborate with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Pensions Agency and the Swedish Tax Agency. Each service manager can help with both tax, social insurance and pension matters. In 2021, Arbetsförmedlingen’s customer square service will be available at all service offices. At the service office, you can get general guidance and advice, help with forms and applications, information about ongoing matters and help to book meetings with administrators in specific matters. Some service offices now also offer the opportunity to apply for an ID card.
