Being able to offer a good life to both existing and future residents of the municipality is crucial in the long-term development work of the municipality of Bodensee. Within a few years, there will be several thousand more of us to fill all the jobs that will be here. A large number of initiatives, such as villa plots, new apartments and more, are being undertaken on a broad front. But people move not just for a job and a home, but for a life. In Boden, we talk about our #Närhetsliv, the life between the houses, which creates the added value of living here.
Citizens’ dialogues
The basic target group for maintaining and developing The Good Life is the people who already live here. What makes us stay, enjoy, feel safe and feel good here? What could be even better?
Previously, an extensive citizen dialogue was conducted for the district development of the growing Sveafältet-Lundagård area in central Boden. Several actions have already been implemented and initiated with the dialogue as a background.
Now the focus is on the areas of Erikslund, Fagernäs and Norra Svartbyn. Gradually, area by area will undergo similar citizen dialogues.
The aim is to get as many comments as possible from residents. Dialogue sessions capture the views and ideas of different target groups and ages – in schools, pre-schools and natural meeting places. Everything that emerges is collected in an in-depth master plan with elements that should be both developed and preserved, but also concrete proposals for action. The proposals will then go out for consultation to give more people the chance to have their say on how we can create even more attractive living environments, content and design.
